The break dance battles at Step Up will be held using a knock out tournament system with either 16, 8 or 4 competitors. The first round of the competition will be an elimination round, each dancer will get one turn to impress the judges, the judges will then select their top dancers which will create the bracket for the knock out tournament.

Once we start the knock out competition the battles will consist of either 1, 2 or 3 rounds. As the dancers battle it out in each round, the judges will note who won which round, after the battle has finished the judges will point to the dancer that won the most rounds. The dancer with the most votes will progress on to the next round until we reach finals with a winner reigning supreme.
